Prevectron 3
Launched in 2015, the Prevectron 3 has been the first-ever Early Streamer Emission lightning rod tested and certified by two international certification organizations: Bureau Veritas and Underwriters Laboratories (UL).
The Prevectron 3 incorporates the OptiMax technology, neutralizing the space charges above the tip of the rod. It enhances the lightning rod performances resulting in improved protection reliability.
The patented OptiMax technology ensures optimal performance and reliability, reducing deviations by 40% for a more reliable upward streamer development process, leading to improved lightning protection.
The Prevectron 3’s unique modular design allows for the replacement of a damaged module without dismantling the rod. The on-site testing with the INDELEC Tester ensures compliance with the NF C 17-102: 2011 standard.
The Prevectron 3 adheres to international and French standards, especially the NF C 17-102: 2011 and UNE 21-186: 2011 standards. It undergoes rigorous testing detailed in NF C 17-102: 2011 Annex C Standard, ensuring quality through marking, mechanical, environmental, and electrical tests.
Prevectron 3 exceeds standard requirements, acquiring key certifications:
- First-ever UL Certification for an Early Streamer Emission lightning conductor.
- Lightning current tests in Brazil at UNICAMP: 200kA discharge surpassing the 100kA standard, confirming sustainability in extreme conditions.
- Qualifoudre certificate (N°051166662001) attests to INDELEC’s compliance with QUALIFOUDRE standards.
- CE marking for the first time, meeting all relevant European Directive requirements.
- RTN certification (N°: RRS 00-05003) for dangerous industrial environments, making Prevectron 3 the sole ESE lightning conductor with RTN certification.
